First of all, I love your tool. I've tried other screen shot utilities before and my favorite so far has been the standard Windows 7 Snipping Tool. Yours is just as easy to use and goes above and beyond with an ability to make rectangular highlights and easily add text to the screenshot.

I'd like to make a small and easy request for the next version:

My workflow for the tool is as follows:

1. Ctrl+Print on a window for screen shot.
2. Crop
3. Highlight
4. Copy

The app then asks me if I want to apply changes. Then it tells me the that the image is now on the clip board. I'd really like to disable these two prompts.

So, could you please either add that as an option in the Advanced Settings, or add to the prompts something like "Don't ask me next time."?

at least you can suppress the apply changes popup by applying the changes by yourself before you copy the screenshot.
Just click on apply (or press [CTRL]+[Y] which is the keyboard shortcut for it).

But something like "don't ask me again" is a good idea for that.

Related to this: an option to close the screenshot window as soon as you have done one of the 'final' commands (copy, save, print, upload). Possibly a set of check boxes/radio buttons in the options:

When I use my screenshot:
  □ Apply any changes without asking me
  • Keep my screenshot open
  ◦ Don't inform me of the action
  ◦ Close the screenshot

The first option would obviously skip the first prompt, the radios are pretty-much self-explanatory.

Here is a workflow that I would love to see supported (it represents about 95% of my typical usage of shotty):

* Take screenshot with shortcut key, wait for the UI to show (as normal)
* Press crop shortcut key, or select crop icon (as normal)
* Drag out crop-tool (as normal)
* Automatically copy selected region to clipboard, with no confirmation popup
* Close the shotty edit window, returning focus to the previous window, again - no popups

Keep up the good work.
