Some improvements to suggest:

-Obviously fix the Windows 7 bugs.

-Disable color changing controls when using a theme that does not support changing the color (Windows 7 Basic).

-Enable window colorization on the Classic themes.

-The option to get rid of that battery on the desktop. I really just wanted the tray icon and the cursor indicator.

-The option to always show the battery state on the cursor, except when at 100%.

-Windows 7 now only shows the time remaining when the drivers support it. I'd like to see BattCursor estimate the time remaining when Win7 isn't supplying that information.

Which Windows 7 bugs do you mean?

"Enable window colorization on the Classic themes": I already tried this, but without having success. Maybe I get this working some days, but I can't promise.

The battery on the desktop is called Sidebar Overlay, and you can disable it in the configuration:


The cursor... Something like this?


To get the remaining time if your system (not windows, this is a hardware related problem) does not supports it is not really possible. Any values can only be guessed then, because the power drain may be different at any time. For example if I use my laptop only for surfing I have about 3 hours of battery runtime, but if I'm playing a game only 1. If the battery remaining time is missing mostly the power drain information is missing, too.

(some of this settings are applied only after you restart BattCursor)

I personally would like an estimate, would be better than nothing. I know it would not be accurate. Personal taste, I guess.

Ah, ok.

Please check the checkbox "General" - "Search for beta versions, too"
After that click on "Credits & Info" - "Check for updates"

Update to the 1.2.0.2 (Beta). This one works better with Windows 7.
The problem with the invalid hook handle is fixed in this release, also the missing options becomes available :)
