I have noticed that the option "Dim after [value] seconds of inactivity (keyboard & mouse)" is not working correctly

the problem is the mouse, more precisely the Touch pad, you can move it for hours, it wont unDIM the display back to its state until you touch the keyboard.

OS: Windows 7 Pro x64 (MSDN Retail)
PC: HP HDX 16 (1010ea) (specs: LINK)

the problem can be found on both the latest stable and the latest beta release

PS, I TOO am suffering from BattCursor crashes after waking up from sleep.

hope i helped :)

You trapped into the bug that crashes the version 1.2 ;)
I still searching for a reason why the "hook" gots invalid in some scenarios (standby, changing power source). This crashes the 1.2 and the 1.2.0.1 Beta may gets the problem you said. After restarting BattCursor it should work again, or?
This problem occours only on Windows 7 (never on a vista machine).

I still hope I can figure out what is causing the problem(s) (I also search for the other problem of course) and fix it, or at least create a workaround.

Thanks for your feedback, and of course sorry for the problems.

Another annoyance i've noticed is when the computer enters sleep mode (i did it manually) in reserve battery (between low and critical), if it goes through that period of battery in Sleep, it wakes up already with battcursor killed, unfortunately i reacted unconsciously in the OK button meaning that there was an error code which could've helped.

PS, is there anyway to get rid of the DIM-ing if the touchpad is on use, this is really annoying, especially on poker, hehe.

Is the hook documented on MSDN?

Yes, it is, at least a bit:
Using Hooks (Windows)
SetWindowsHookEx
You need CallNextHook and UnhookWindowsHookEx, too.

Sorry if I wasn't clear - I meant the specific hook that was going invalid, not the general hooking mechanism itself.

Or my english was not good enough :)
Ah ok. Well, no. Or I don't know where.

The most funny thing is that this problem does not occour on Vista, only with Windows 7. And my laptop haven't had this problem for months.
