Trying Shotty for the first time on Win7, I quite often find full-screen capture failures like this.

From Prnt Scrn: http://img837.imageshack...mg837/7760/regiondy.png
From Shotty: http://img831.imageshack...mg831/4181/regionpo.png

Alternatively the Shotty image is all black.

Region capture is OK. Is this a know problem?

Also, is there a way to get and operate the Screen/Region/Window selection window by keyboard? Thanks

This may happen if the application you want to capture runs as administrator.
If this is the case, close shotty and start it again, but as administrator. This should fix those problems.
This is because shotty needs to send some messages to the application that should be captured. But Windows Vista / 7 doesn't allow non admin applications to interact with administrative ones.

I seems depends on something else because right now it is not happening on that administrator app, but I do notice that the left-click Window LQ fails to show administrator apps...[/quote]

... and restarting Shotty with Run as administrator does solve that second problem. Thanks.

How can I set Shotty to Run as administrator on Windows start?

Also, is there a way to get and operate the Screen/Region/Window selection window by keyboard?

Thanks.

To auto run administrative applications is a bit complicated because they will be automatically disabled by (I think it was) Windows Defender (or another security related stuff in Windows). I don't know a way to solve that.

There is currently no way to setup hotkeys or such to use the keyboard to select the kind of screenshot.

OK. Windows Defender is not preinstalled, note. http://www.microsoft.com...load/details.aspx?id=17
