Since a few hours ago I find all Shotty uploads to Imageshack fail.

On Win XP:

Code:
Upload failed!
Please check your internet connection. Also it is possible the image hosters server is busy.
The selected image provider returns error code: 403 Forbidden

On W7 the same, and once:

Code:
Upload failed!
Please check your internet connection. Also it is possible the image
hosters server is busy.
The selected image provider returns error code: 500 Name cannot
begin with the ' ' character, hexadecimal value 0x20. Line 71,
position 24.

Any ideas?

EDIT: When I tried a web upload, I got an error - imageshack account limit exceeded. I guess Shotty can't show the error message.

Changing to a different imageshack account solved the web upload ... but after updating Shotty login setting update, and retying Upload on existing windows, it still failed. New windows were OK. Shotty could do better here I think.

Thanks again for a very useful program.

Please read the error message :)

As it seems the filename you have choosen (or was generated by Shotty) starts with a whitespace which is not allowed by ImageShack.
It is also possible ImageShack is working on their API again. I received a bug report a month ago (or so). 1 or 2 days later the problem was fixed by ImageShack.

It was generated by Shotty. I think Shotty should not do that.

This problem continues. Uploads from Shotty fail, from browser succeed.

How do I get Shotty to let me specify the filename?

In the "Upload configuration" enable the "Show configuration before upload" feature.
This will show a dialog before each upload where you can change all settings and also edit the filename.

Thanks - that worked.

But since it would be a nuisance to have this dialog always, I hope this can be fixed in the program.
