I am just starting to use Shotty which is looking to be very good.

But in Win10 I cannot find the tray (Task Bar) symbol; the only way I can start Shotty is to use CTRL + PrintScreen. I have printed the instructions which describe how to configure it but without the tray icon I cannot see how to configure Shotty.

If I use CTRL + PrintScreen I see the Shotty task bar icon but there is no mention of Settings or Configuration.

How can I put the Shotty icon on the Win10 Task Bar, please?

Thank you,

Tregarth

Hi,

please use the up arrow next to the system tray area to open up all icons. Windows automatically hide inactive icons, except you have set up another beaviour (of course Shotty needs to be running / launched for that).

Here from my Windows 7 machine, marked in red:

You can drag and drop the Shotty icon from the popup into the real systray so it will stand there as long as shotty runs.

Thank you for your reply which is most useful.

For other users of Win10 this might be of help:

1. From Win10 icon on bottom left of screen, go to "All Apps" Shotty appears under "S".

2. Drag Shotty icon onto desktop to create a shortcut.

3. Click shortcut; Shotty icon appears in bottom right area of Task Bar (if task bar is "unlocked";)

Shotty is then ready for use and is very good.

Good luck.
